The story of where ChlorKing began, how far we’ve come and where we are today!
1970’s
David von Broembsen, a visionary chemical engineer, set out to revolutionize chlorine production and its application in pool management. With a clear goal in mind, he spent years in a modest workshop refining a membrane prototype for an innovative electrolytic chlorine production process. His relentless dedication paid off when he finally developed a groundbreaking product. David’s chlorine-producing machines were designed as onsite “mini-factories,” disrupting the traditional reliance on shipping highly concentrated chemicals. In an industry dominated by these conventional methods, his innovative machines found their place in diverse applications, including mining operations, large-scale pools, and even a dolphinarium. Today, the very first prototype chlorinator, a symbol of David’s ingenuity and determination, is proudly displayed at the ChlorKing manufacturing facility—a tribute to the dream that reshaped an industry.
